Bird, curator emeritus of South American archaeology at the American Museum of Natural History, notes: "*M32 Double-chamber jar, two trophy heads, thorns in lips, holes on foreheads with suspension slings indicated. Most trophy heads shown with slit eyes; in this case eyes are open. Nazca III-IV?"
