General Description
Prolific Philadelphia silversmith James Watts specialized in flatware. This spoon, with its eccentric profile and intricate engraved ornament, is an example of his finest work. Bright-cut decoration was especially popular in Philadelphia, unlike other cities where customers preferred cast ornament.
