General Description
This panel belongs to a group of finely woven silk brocades called bizarre because of their eccentric patterns. They were a specialty of Venetian weavers. The larger areas of gold-wrapped silk threads are balanced with lovely pink and blue flowers on a natural silk ground. It is now bordered with silver gallooning.
