General Description

Carlotta Corpron explores the possibilities of night photography in this image of a church in Havana, Cuba, taken during the 1940s. Corpron pushed the boundaries of photography in Texas through her studies with Gyorgy Kepes, a Hungarian-born member of the Bauhaus with whom Corpron studied and whom she brought to Texas Woman's University in Denton for several highly influential sessions in 1942 and 1944.
