Blue Moot Gone
Heide Fasnacht ( American, 1951 )
The strong, brightly colored shapes in Blue Moot Gone have a palpable momentum as the hornlike figures propel outward from the left side of the frame like the bells of a trumpet. Drawings by Heide Fasnacht are often heavily worked and convey volumes convincingly, whether they are recognizable objects or abstract forms. Moving freely between abstraction and representation, Fasnacht seeks to capture ephemeral, momentary bursts of energy.
