General Description
This diamond-studded gold necklace and its coordinating ring [2008.32.1] were commissioned from jewelry designer Velma Dozier by Virginia and Roland Dykes during the early 1960s. Its globular and organically shaped forms are characteristic of Dozier's work during this time, inspired by nature, and created through a lost-wax casting technique.
