Peoples & Societies
The Mande-speaking Bobo peoples are comprised of groups of clans in Burkina Faso and Mali. They are farmers who live in compact and autonomous villages. The Bobo use natural materials such as leaves, wood, and fiber to create masks that are typically angular in shape and used in various ritual contexts.
